What to Expect During Your Jendy Security Installation

At Jendy Physical Security, the client experience begins days before arrival and continues after commissioning. Here is what to expect from preparation through installation, training and follow-up.

Before We Arrive: Prepare for a Productive Installation

Preparation begins days before deployment

Your installation starts before a Jendy crew arrives. We communicate with your facility contact, IT team and other project stakeholders to confirm the approved scope, site readiness, schedule and responsibilities. You should know who is coming, what work is planned and what needs to be ready.

Confirm equipment and IT readiness

We review hardware delivery, quantities, accessories, licenses and staging arrangements. With IT, we confirm available switch ports, Power over Ethernet capacity, network connectivity, required platform access and manufacturer network requirements. Approved floorplans, device locations, naming conventions and credential requirements help align everyone before installation.

Plan around your operations

We coordinate working hours, parking, unloading, keys or escorts, restricted areas, lift access and other trades. Planned network or security-system interruptions are discussed before cutover. Permits, facility approvals and access-control or life-safety coordination are addressed where required. Readiness gaps are communicated early so the client can make informed scheduling decisions.

On-Site Arrival: Clear Expectations and Respect for Your Facility

Start with a coordinated walkthrough

Upon arrival, the crew checks in with the designated contact and reviews the work areas, daily priorities and site rules. We confirm device locations and pathways against the approved plan and identify conditions that need attention before work proceeds.

Protect the people and spaces around us

Jendy coordinates work areas, tools, ladders, lifts and material staging with facility operations. The team plans dust and debris control appropriate to the task, protects nearby finishes and keeps circulation routes and emergency exits clear. Work affecting doors, alarms or other active security functions is coordinated with the client.

Keep you informed when conditions change

If we discover an obstruction, missing hardware, a network problem or a door condition that affects the installation, we explain the issue, its impact, the recommended resolution and any decision needed. Urgent issues are escalated promptly; they do not wait for the end-of-day report. Changes to approved locations or pathways are reviewed and recorded.

Every Installation Day: Communication, Progress and Cleanup

Daily end-of-day reports

You receive a daily end-of-day report describing completed work, installation progress, relevant photos, blockers, outstanding decisions and the plan for the next workday. This gives your team a clear record of what happened and what comes next. See Jendy’s End-of-Day Report page for the reporting resource.

Two rounds of cleanup

Our crews clean each work area after the task is complete and perform a complete end-of-day cleaning round. That includes collecting cable offcuts and packaging, removing work debris, organizing tools and securing materials. Open work, unfinished penetrations and equipment staging are left in an appropriate, safe condition for the next phase.

A visible path to completion

We track completed devices, remaining tasks and issues that need follow-up. The client knows which systems are active, which areas remain in progress and whether a dependency could affect the schedule. A shared punch list records each open item, its owner, next action and status.

Testing and Documentation: A System You Can Understand and Support

Verify operation before handoff

Jendy tests the installed functions included in the approved scope. Camera checks address useful views, live video and recording or playback. Access-control checks address authorized entry, locking behavior, door status and required egress coordination. Intercoms and alarms are tested for their scoped functions. Network and cable test records are included as applicable.

Live spreadsheet tracking

Your live project spreadsheet documents hardware and installation status. Applicable fields include site, device name, model, serial number, physical location, cable identifier, network closet, switch number or identifier, switch port, patch-panel port, controller assignment, commissioning status and open items. Network addresses and related details are recorded where appropriate under your IT policy.

Floorplans, photos and operational videos

The handoff package includes updated floorplans showing device locations and the wire pathways we ran, along with labeling information and installation photos. Photos and videos demonstrate installed hardware operating and provide useful context for future service. Records reflect the installed scope and distinguish verified routes from inaccessible or existing pathways.

Protect the records as well as the system

Project records are shared with authorized contacts. Passwords and sensitive credentials are transferred through an agreed secure method rather than placed in a broadly shared spreadsheet. Organized documentation helps your IT, facilities and security teams maintain the system without depending on the memory of one technician.

Handoff and Training: Make Sure Your Team Is Ready

Review the completed installation together

We walk through the completed work with your designated representative, review the documentation and demonstrate the installed functions. Any remaining punch-list items are clearly recorded with their next steps. Handoff should leave you with a clear understanding of what is complete and what remains.

On-site training for the staff who need it

Jendy provides on-site training for staff who require it, coordinated around their roles and availability. Administrators, security users and facility contacts may need different instruction. Training can cover live viewing, footage search and export, access permissions, credentials, schedules, alerts and routine system use, according to the installed platform and approved scope.

Leave a clear support path

Your team receives guidance on requesting assistance and providing useful troubleshooting information. We review support contacts, escalation steps and relevant manufacturer resources. The goal is for your staff to feel confident using the system and know exactly where to turn when they need help.

After Installation: Support, Check-Ins and Long-Term Accountability

Continued 24/7 remote support

Jendy provides continued 24/7 remote support so your team has a place to turn when questions or issues arise. We help triage problems, guide authorized users and coordinate next steps. Remote access is arranged with your IT team; on-site service is coordinated when the issue requires a physical visit. Support availability does not establish a guaranteed resolution time.

Weekly check-ins during the first few weeks

After installation, we check in weekly for the first few weeks to confirm the system is operating as expected and your team is fully satisfied. These conversations help identify questions, training needs, recurring alerts or operational adjustments that become apparent during everyday use. Follow-up actions are documented and tracked.

Lifetime craftsmanship warranty

Jendy backs its installation workmanship with a lifetime craftsmanship warranty. Unless a written agreement specifies otherwise, the term is the life of client ownership. Qualifying workmanship defects attributable to Jendy are corrected under the published terms. Manufacturer hardware failures and replacement labor for malfunctioning manufacturer hardware are excluded, along with environmental damage, normal wear and other stated exclusions. Review the complete warranty terms and applicable project agreement.

One Professional Standard Across Nationwide Locations

Consistency for multi-location customers

Jendy supports installations across all 50 states with W-2 technicians, centralized coordination and union labor where required. Multi-location clients benefit from consistent readiness checks, communication, naming conventions, documentation, testing and handoff standards. Local conditions and operating needs are incorporated into each site plan.

Coordinate ready sites into deployment waves

Corporate teams can review progress across locations rather than reconstructing separate contractor updates. Regional scheduling helps coordinate ready properties, hardware delivery and access windows. Our live national installation map also supports conversations about upcoming crew regions.

The Jendy installation experience

Professional installation is visible in the details: preparation before mobilization, prompt communication, clean work areas, proven system operation, usable documentation, confident users and continued accountability after handoff. These are the standards Jendy brings to your project.
